The Me-Time Tag

Thank you for tagging me Alina! Finally I've been tagged with something I actually have time to do! I love a bit of relaxation and pampering, especially at this time of year...

What do you read or watch during me-time?

If I'm reading a good book I'll carry on with that on my Kindle; otherwise I'll catch up on some of my favourite blogs or if I'm really into a Netflix Series I'll marathon that!

What do you wear during me-time?

Definitely my Primark pyjamas - I pretty much wear pyjamas whenever I'm in the house (they go on as soon as I get in...) I love the ones from Primark as they're so pretty and affordable plus have hidden support.

What are your me-time beauty products?

I love a bit of Lush and the Body Shop. I'm totally obsessed with Lush's Hot Toddy shower gel (unfortunately I think this is now sold out until next year!) and the Body Shop's Glazed Apple Bath Jelly at the moment. Skincare is also a must so I take the time to use my Carlisonic with the Origins Checks and Balances Cleanser. It's so hard to find time during the week but on the weekends I can spend  a good hour on my skin. When I get the chance I like to do a facial massage with my DHC Deep Cleansing Oil as it's just so relaxing. I'm also really enjoying my new stuff from Soap and Glory - the hand and foot creams especially.

Current Favourite nail polish?

It has to be Essie's Wicked - I love the almost-black reddish purple colour as it's perfect for this time of year.

What do you eat or drink during me-time?

Usually some sort of herbal tea, I love Twinings Lemon and Ginger and Teapigs Chai Tea at the moment. As for food I do like to tuck into some Hotel Chocolat, and there's a lot of that in my house after Christmas...

Current favourite candle?

I love my Rituals Sweet Sunrise for a pamper session. I don't usually go for clean, fresh scents but for a spa feel it's definitely the way to go. This has a sweet, fresh citric fragrance and it's just so relaxing!

Do you ever have outdoor me-time?

I'm really not an outdoorsy person; most of my family love walks and stuff but I'm just not into it so I'll have to say no!

Would you ever go and see a movie alone?

I never have done as usually I can drag someone along with me. I almost have when there have been obscure art-house films I've wanted to check out (I really don't think it's weird to see those kind of films alone to be honest) but I always chickened out and waited for the DVD! I hate doing social things alone; when I've been away with work and had to go for a meal out on my own I really didn't like it!

Anything else to add? What else do you like to do during me-time?

I like just tidying my room and dressing table area, writing blog posts, writing in general, taking photos and I'm definitely a bit of a film buff/TV addict. Otherwise I just like to listen to music!

What do you like to do when you get  bit of me-time?

  3. I love your answers! I love using Lush & Soap and Glory products during me-time too, although I agree with the no-outdoors part! For me, having a pamper session needs to be done either in the bath, or in bed! x

  5. I will admit that I have seen a film by myself, which seems incredibly sad, but in my defence, my family were at the same cinema at the same time, i just didn't want to see what they were, I've never really gotten into herbal teas, but i love a good hot choc!
