It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
On Tuesday evening I was lucky enough to attend an event celebrating the launch of the Body Shop's new Christmas range at the Trafford Centre store!
I have to admit I was pretty shattered trekking over to the Trafford Centre after my first day at work! However I'm really glad I did because I picked up some lovely stuff and got to (admittedly briefly) say hi to some of the Manchester bloggers.
Of course I had to get my favourite; the Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel (£4)! It smells amazing, though the fragrance is a little difficult to describe and is really moisturising.
From the Christmas range, the first thing I picked up was the Glazed Apple Body Polish (£10). I thought the sugary flavour would be perfect for a scrub product and it has that amazing sweet apple-y fragrance that's making me feel a little festive.
I also picked up the Frosted Cranberry Body Butter (£13). In my dazed state I thought this was some sort of body scrub - oops! This one is really nice if you want something a little more subtle. It's not overwhelmingly sweet or fragranced.
I chose the Vanilla Brûlée Shower Gel (£4) as of course it's right up my street, given my love of foodie fragrances. I got a Vanilla Brûlée Home Fragrance Oil (£4) too, as I love my Body Shop oil burner.
The Body Shop also launched some new nail polish shades with their Christmas Collection - I got the Colour Crush Nail Colour in Caring Caramel (£5). I thought it would be a really nice work-appropriate everyday shade.
Finally I got a free small Olive Body Butter (£5 - link to full size, £13) for spending over £30. This fragrance appealed to me partly because I've never tried it but also because it's not too heavy or overpowering.
I did get an event discount, however on My Voucher Codes you can get £20 off a £40 order at the moment (The Argan Oil range isn't included in this but all the Christmas stuff is!) so happy shopping, whether it's for a gift or to treat yourself!
I'm really excited to try out my purchases and get feeling (and smelling) festive. Now I'm not working in retail maybe I'll actually enjoy the run-up to Christmas!
Have you bought any festive beauty bits yet?
