October Favourites || Beauty, Fashion, Skincare

October has been a pretty frugal month for me, as I've been waiting to start a new job (which I will be on Monday - yay!) however I still have some standout purchases to tell you about...

10. Lush Movis Soap, £4.50/100g

I'm not huge on Lush skincare, I must say, due to it containing perfumes. However this is a really nice face soap for combination and oily skin. I wouldn't use it everyday but it smells lovely and cleared up my skin. You only have to use the tiniest amount to get a good lather going.

I love love love this collar scarf and it's so cheap! Topshop are selling similar items for twice as much. It has a little clasp on it and looks great with a black leather jacket. Now I just need a floppy hat...

8. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, £4.50 (mini size)

I won this as part of a Cosmo giveaway, which was a stroke of luck as I'd recently seen it recommended in a Lisa Eldridge video. I've been really impressed with it. Part of my brain cringes at the idea of putting oil on my combination skin but honestly if you wash it off properly it won't add to your oiliness. My skin is left clean and soft and this is perfect for facial massages.

I love nudes and I love the Maybelline Colour Tattoos so when I saw a UK eBay seller with the full collection I had to get hold of them. Unfortunately you can see there was a little product shrinkage, leading to cracking, however the product is the same quality as my UK ones. My favourite is Sleek and Spice; a warm brown shimmer.

This was a blog sale find for me and my first ever Wet N Wild palette. For those not in the know, Wet N Wild is a US budget beauty brand with some fantastic, very affordable eyeshadow palettes. Walking the Red Carpet isn't super-versatile but I love the pretty brown-red nude look you can create with it. Unfortunately I couldn't find this shade on a site that ships to the UK so I've linked the other ones on Beauty Joint above.

I chose this at the Bloggers' Tea Party beauty pick n' mix counter and I much prefer it to the Clinique one I'm currently trying to finish. It moisturises my face without it feeling greasy, hydrating the parts that need it. If you go to the ForYou website and take their skin test you receive product recommendations and a £5 credit (plus their delivery is fast and free), so you can try 5 of these little samples for free!

I love Barry M's affordable nail polishes, especially their Gelly line. This month I fell in love with this cream shade called Lychee. The staying power isn't the best but for £3.99 you really can't complain!

3. Eucerin DermoPurifyer Active Night Cream, £9.18 (currently £6.89)

I grabbed this in Feel Unique's 1/3 off Pharmacy Event. I'm really impressed already as it leaves my skin matte but somehow still moisturises it. If you have oily skin this is a bargain solution.

This is the perfect pink-toned nude for my skin tone and has a nice sheen to it. There's a tiny but of shimmer but it really isn't noticeable. All in all it's a lovely everyday lip colour.

Real Techniques is now definitely my favourite makeup brush brand and I love Nic's Picks as it's full of new brushes not available individually. They're all fantastic but if I had to pick my favourite it would be the Cheek Brush, as it applies every blusher evenly and subtly, whether it costs £1 or £20. This set is on offer in Superdruug with £10 off, which makes it even more of a bargain!

  1. That fur collar looks lovely, especially for that price! I'd definitely order that instead of shelling out all that money in Topshop!

    1. You should put it on your xmas list if you don't buy it yourself ;) £30 was a good price but reducing it to £20 makes it a total steal! x

  5. I love Wet n Wild Eyeshadows. They stay on for a long time and have really nice neutral colors. The only thing I don't like is the packaging - there is just something about Urban Decay Palettes that make you feel so rich and lovely ;)

    1. I think it's my first ever one but I'm so impressed :) I haven't seen Wet N Wild in any UK retailer, however I've heard from other bloggers that BeautyJoint is the best option to ship to the UK x

  10. You picked up some lovely products this month! I love the look of the Maybelline lipstick and the brushes are still on my wish list (I think I might ask for it for Christmas). I'm glad that you liked the Movis soap because I saw it in store an nearly bought it but wanted to see some reviews first. I have the same skin type as you though so if it works for you then i think it's worth a try! xx
